Time arithmetic without the guesswork

Minutes and seconds use base 60, not base 100. Adding 1 hour 45 minutes to 30 minutes gives 2 hours 15 minutes. The calculator handles the carry automatically.

Can I add more than 24 hours?

Yes. 23 hours 45 minutes plus 2 hours 30 minutes is 26 hours 15 minutes. Duration totals do not wrap around midnight.

What does a negative result mean?

You subtracted a longer duration from a shorter one. Minus 1 hour is a duration difference, not 11 PM.
